A former coaching inn dating back to 1697, the Black Lion is situated on Finkle Street in the heart of Richmond. Richmond is a thriving market town in the Yorkshire Dales National Park and is ideally located to visit an array of Georgian architecture, monuments and abbeys. There is a wide selection of independent shops and galleries within a 10 minute walk of the Black Lion. For the more active guest we are conveniently situated on the Coast to Coast walk.
With 14 rooms the Black Lion welcomes individuals, couples, families and friends. Whether it be a romantic getaway or business trip you will be greeted by a friendly and knowledgeable team who will strive to make you feel welcome. Well behaved dogs are allowed and we may even have a few treats available at our reception for them!
We have a traditional pub menu, a selection of cask ales, a delicious cocktail menu and a wine list that will suit most tastes. You are able to dine in our cosy bar area where you will undoubtedly be quickly involved in conversation with our local guests.
We have 10 parking spaces at the rear of our building which are available on a first come basis. Further parking is available in the long stay carpark which is a 5 minute walk away from the Black Lion.
