CODE OF PRACTICE
1. The Gryodactylus Salaris forms should be read by all
2. Fishermen who come from outside the area should read and sign the GS forms
3. No fish killed before 1st June and no hen fish killed after 1st October.
4. Anglers should note that 50% of all salmon & grilse should be returned
5. The first, third, fifth etc fish caught by any angler MUST be returned
6. A limit of one fish per day to killed per rod
7. All seatrout to be returned to the river
8. All hen fish must be returned in October
9. Multi-hooked lures are discouraged
10. Barbless hooks should be encouraged
11. Barbless hooks must be used when worming
Please remember that returned fish should still be recorded in the catch returns. The National Guidelines set by the Association of Salmon Fishery Boards state that at least 50% of salmon and grilse and all sea trout shout be returned to rivers. The Board fully supports this view.
