The Sally is owned and managed by Shaun Gardner & Jimmy Little, backed by a specialist team focused on customer care and guest experience.

All our rooms are named after nearby locations that we love. In addition to all the standard features we have loved creating special touches that really bring your room to life. Rooms are fitted with an easy to use safe, smart TV, a telephone and a coffee machine. For that perfect night’s sleep, we provide a pillow menu and hypoallergenic bedding is provided as standard. Our windows are fitted with specially treated blinds to keep the local midges out. We provide full-sized Bath House products (made in the Lakes) in all our bathrooms.

We serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests can eat in the pub or dining area. We serve a range of delicious and irresistible traditional and European dishes. All the food is freshly prepared in-house and sourced from local suppliers where possible. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available and other dietary requirements can be catered for upon request. The fully stocked bar serves a wide range of beers, wines, ales and soft drinks.

The Sally is 1.5 miles from Carlisle Lake District Airport and 8.5 miles from Carlisle City Centre. The village of Irthington, sits on the north side of the River Irthing. Hadrian’s Wall lies about half a mile northwest of the village. Unfortunately, no public transport routes operate to and from Irthington. Private taxis can be arranged.
