Glasney Rooms, University Campus Penryn

Glasney Rooms har tatt imot gjester siden juli 2012, og tilbyr rimelig innkvartering og varm og vennlig service – perfekt for å oppdage Cornwalls skjønnhet.

Cornwall Plus at Glasney Rooms ligger bare en 10-minutters kjøretur fra Falmouth og strendene langs Cornwalls sørkyst, og tilbyr Economy-dobbeltrom og tomannsrom med eget bad på Penryn University Campus.

+ Lovely green surroundings, a delightful, peaceful campus in mid-August; + Parking was free, Internet was easily accessible; - From our room, there was a steep walk up/down to the bus stop & car park, not good for bad knees; - The mattress was horribly uncomfortable for two people, it felt like we were both rolling into the middle; - The carpet could have done with much better vacuuming; - The toilet seat slipped from side to side; - Good choice of cooked breakfast but only warm, not hot.

Overall ok. Unfortunately room 6 had an unpleasant odour, the mattress in room 5 was very lumpy and uncomfortable - ok for just 1 night. If we had been there longer and rushing due to graduation we would have gone straight to the office in the morning to report this. Otherwise ok

Generally good however mattress/pillow v soft and some marks on bed sheet. Lots of noise from doors closing. Parking a long way from accommodation. Breakfast from canteen poor.

Booking and checking in were easy. Room was clean and comfortable. Loo roll holder is very fiddly! Buses are handy to get into town. Not a cheap option, but not a rip off either.

Beautiful surroundings, good location. Directions to our room not very clear and parking was a long way from the room. Overall great value and we hope to return.

Accessibility

Please contact Glasney Rooms ahead of your stay, so the Reception Team are aware of any special requirements, and a room will be allocated to accommodate your needs and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Please be aware that the property does not have any lifts, but it is wheelchair accessible.

The Fine Print

Check-in takes place at the Heart Reception and out-of-hours at Glasney Lodge from16:00pm and check-out is no later than 10:00am.

Free towels and bed linen are provided, and each room has an en-suite shower room, with a work desk and offers free WiFi.

The campus is a contactless campus, so please do not bring cash with you, as this will not be accepted as a form of payment.

Payment in full is required before guests arrive, so please ensure this has gone through and if not, please contact ahead of your stay. Contact details can be found in your confirmation email.

Getting Here

Using GPS or sat nav, use postcode TR10 9AJ to reach the Heart reception.

Glasney Rooms and Flats on the Penryn Campus, are located on Treliever Road, just off the A39 from Truro. Follow signs to the University Campus, and once you arrive at the Campus site, turn left and park in Car Park A (if you are driving) and head to the Heart Reception to check in (just past the bus stops). If the Heart Reception is closed (out of hours) then take a left down the hill to Glasney Lodge. Security is available 24/7 in Glasney Lodge to support you.

Parking information

Parking is not permitted in Glasney Village itself. Glasney Lodge Reception will give you access to drop off and collect your luggage (if needed), however, cars should then be parked at one of the campus car parks situated 30 – 100 metres (a 5 minute walk) from the accommodation. The closest car parks to your accommodation are Car Park A and Car Park C. Above all, guest parking is free of charge. You will be issued with a parking code at check in. If you are a blue badge holder, speak to the staff at Glasney Lodge Reception who will direct you to the disabled parking bays within the accommodation grounds.
