Loring Hall, New Cross, London

Location is very good for anyone visiting SE London: just across the road from New Cross Station. The price of university vacation accommodation in London has risen across the board recent years, but it was the ensuite shower that set this apart. The flat's kitchen was clean and reasonably supplied with just enough crockery, cutlery and utensils. I would stay here again.

Pros - Room clean and comfortable and provided value for money. Great to stay onsite where event I was attending took place. Cons - Room was hot and little ventilation as window only opened a small amount. Bathroom was a wet room so water from shower went everywhere, even with shower curtain.

Overall, the room and facilities were good, but the fixed showerhead was inconvenient. The common kitchen facilities were clean and excellent. Adding a USB charging port would be also a great improvement.

The corridor in the accommodation was stiflingly hot. The rooms had no bedside light or way to switch off lights near the bed. Other than that we felt it offered good value.

Hot so have to open the window but faces onto trainline so noisy. But it was cheap and convenient.

The shower head needs descaling…I had 4 high speed jets to shower under!
