Homerton College has an unusual and interesting history which commenced with a London society in 1730 eventually acquiring the current site the Cavendish College, Cambridge in 1894. It became a ladies college due to the University not approving of a mixed college at that time and did not start taking men again until 1976.
It was not until 2010 that Homerton was finally granted full collegiate status as a self-governing college of the University of Cambridge. Homerton is one of the largest colleges in Cambridge and is also very proud to be known as the friendliest College.
Your breakfast will be served in one of the dining rooms or the Buttery.
Bedroom blocks are situated within 25 acres of beautifully maintained grounds which guests are welcome to explore at leisure.
Free on-site parking is available on a first-come first-serve basis.

We were offered to book our stays at Homerton College as part of an event, therefore, it was more convenient to do so. It's a college room, a better one than you would expect. But if you had to compare it to a hotel, it would be between 2 and 3 stars. A bit inconvenient that neither my room nor my building had a laundry room where you could iron your clothes. 匿名

I think this is a perfectly fine minimal accommodation, but it could be made much better with some simple and cheap improvements. For instance, more body wash: I had to ration my single use dose over 3 showers. Or a bathroom carpet, to not make a mess out of the shower. A muffling on the doors. A longer duvet. More hangers. We had a great stay at Homerton. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. It was graduation weekend and we loved seeing all the students and parents excited for the day. Generous breakfast and lovely bar. It was a bit further from the centre than I’d anticipated but our step count was excellent for the weekend! EmmaP

On arrival, guests should check in to their rooms at the Porters' Lodge, located at the front of the College on Hills Road. Please note, the Lodge is open 24hrs a day.
