历史

Robert Menzies College is a not for profit charity set up in 1972 by the Anglican Church to provide a traditional college accommodation experience for students at Macquarie University. The college expanded from 200 single study bedrooms to 300 in 2012. The College is named after Sir Robert Menzies, Australia's longest-serving Prime Minister, who worked to make university education accessible to everyone.

 Gourmet meals are included in your accommodation charge. Hot breakfast, lunch and dinners are prepared on-site and served in the college dining room. Each meal also has a variety of cold options including cereals, yoghurts & fruit at breakfast with cold salads, fruit & meat slices available at lunch and dinner.

If you are planning to be away at lunch or dinner on weekdays, you may order packed lunch and/or late dinner.

A coffee / hot chocolate machine will provide complimentary hot beverages at any time. Self-catering kitchens are located on each floor of each building. Soft drinks and confectionery vending machines are available on-site. Across the road, Macquarie Shopping Centre has a range of cafes and fast food facilities for breakfast lunch and dinner.

Free WiFi and internet access are provided throughout the College. Token operated Laundromat facilities are provided. Quiet reading/study rooms, as well as TV rooms, are provided throughout the dormitory buildings. In the  Administration building, a larger games room and media TV theatre are open all hours. A large outdoor chess set turns the ancient game into a spectator sport.
