The Black Ivy is a wonderful boutique Edinburgh Hotel with modern luxurious rooms, complete with restaurant and bar & terrace. 

The boutique hotel overlooks Bruntsfield park, it is just a fifteen-minute walk from the city centre and just a mile from Edinburgh's castle.

Here at Black Ivy, little things matter the local luxury ethos can be found in each and every room. Guests will find Egyptian Cotton sheets on the bed, flavoured teas to enjoy and luxurious white Company ‘Noir’ toiletries. Guests will be able to wander down for Brunch anytime until 5.00pm or enjoy one of famous 'Bennys' - Eggs Benedict or Blueberry Pancakes and fresh OJ sent to the room while guests get ready to face the world.

History

The 19th-century building overlooks the historical Links park, where a plaque states that the area was one of the earliest known locations where the game of golf was played in Scotland.

Black Ivy rooms opened in December 2017, having newly refurbished; stepping out onto the popular Bruntsfield-scene to deliver its 'Local Luxury for all' ethos to local residents and visitors alike.

The Bar is stocked with great gins, interesting wines and of course Innis & Gunn Tank Beer is the centre-piece of a diverse beer range. offering comfort dishes across our food menus, so guests find quality ingredients, classic dishes and a few gourmet twists and surprises along the way.
