History

Since its opening in 1929, Rhodes House has been an Oxford landmark, a historic Grade II* listed country house in the heart of the city.

Today, it is also home to the city's newest and most technologically advanced conference and convening centre, creating the ideal spaces to bring people together.

The perfect place for your stay.

Rhodes House is an Arts and Crafts gem in central Oxford, which has been updated and reimagined for the 21st Century. They have sensitively restored the beautiful, handcrafted interiors of the house, while creating airy and modern convening spaces, with connectivity and technology to connect you with the world.

Grounds & Gardens

Step outside Rhodes House to find yourself in the gardens, with sumptuous planting by the renowned head gardener Neil Wigfield and generous terracing where you can meet, sit, think, and enjoy. A green haven in central Oxford.

In the last few years, the Rhodes House Gardens have won three Silver and four Gold awards in the Oxford in Bloom competition. The gardens enjoy afternoon and evening sun throughout the summer and autumn

The lovely Rhodes House gardens have naturalistic planting to encourage biodiversity, reflecting the way that wild flowers grow. The wildflower meadow attracts pollinators and provides diverse wildlife habitats in the city.

I want to thank the staff for their hospitality. I had to make two separate bookings as I could not get a room on 6 June. However, the staff at the reception manage to book a room for me for 6 June and I had a break-less stay from 2 to 13 June. The room was clean and my request for additional heater was also promptly met.

The courtyard rooms are very comfortable for one person, the rooms were beautifully renovated. The fact that they are separated from the main building makes the environment very quiet. Only bad point is the absence of a window to let some air out.

CamilleC

A really clean room and pleasant experience. Very convenient in relation to the conference. A couple of hiccups in terms of getting an iron and ironing board, but we got there in the end.
