The Bay Horse Inn, Allerton

Only 3 miles from A1 Junction 47, the inn is located within a mile of 2 rail stations - Cattal and Hammerton - with direct service to York, Knaresborough, Harrogate and beyond.

Guests will also be conveniently located for access to York, Wetherby and Ripon racecourses. Local taxi services are available and advance booking is advised. Local bus services to York are available .

This lovely village pub offers a traditional fireside bar and restaurant as well as free Wi-Fi in the bar area and free on-site parking. Both the Yorkshire Dales and the North York Moors can be reached within a 30-40 minute drive.

The ten guest rooms are set in a courtyard with private entrances and are all equipped with a TV and tea and coffee facilities. Rooms have en- suite facilities with a shower and complementary toiletries.

We have one ground floor accessible room with wet room and ramp access. Our rooms will soon have WIFI and some are dog friendly.

The Bay Horse Pub serves a variety of homemade meals daily as well as our popular authentic curries and traditional Sunday lunch.. A fully cooked English breakfast is served daily. The cosy wood-beamed bar offers a range of cask-conditioned real ales, good quality wines and spirits, as well as tea and coffee.
There are some lovely walks in and around Green Hammerton and the pub welcomes muddy boots, walkers and is dog and family friendly. The Bay Horse Inn is popular with cyclists and is an ideal stop off for the Yorkshire Coastal routes.
The popular wedding venues of Aldwark Manor, Allerton Park and Skipbridge are within 3 miles of the Inn.
There is golf nearby at Aldwark Manor, Knaresborough and Harrogate, river fishing on the Ouse and nearby fishing lakes at Thorpe Underwood and Poppleton.
The Yorkshire Heart and Dunesforde vineyards are close by.
