All the rooms we provide are used during term time by our undergraduate students. They are therefore not equipped to four star hotel standard (we do not for instance have trouser presses or TVs in rooms). We can however guarantee clean and comfortable rooms with tea/coffee making facilities; towels and toiletries; radio alarm clocks; and a telephone.
Please be aware that all our en-suite, twin and standard rooms are located in different parts of the building, therefore if you are booking more than one type of room, they are unlikely to be very close to each other. It would be helpful if you could specify which names would like which type of room if so.
St Catharine's, or "Catz" as the College is affectionately known, was founded in 1473, by Robert Woodlark. He chose a small site next to Kings and a close relationship with that college has been maintained. Originally a small college, it gradually acquired buildings around and was largely rebuilt in the 17th century, with work starting on the Main Court in 1673 and the Chapel being completed in 1704.
Copies of the College history and postcards are available from the Porter's Lodge.
